Ekiti State Government dismisses 3 teachers arrested for raping their students
The Ekiti State government has dismissed the three public secondary school teachers who were recently arrested for raping three students.
The State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Chairman, Mr Babatunde Abegunde confirmed the sack of the teachers after an emergency plenary held in Ado Ekiti.
Adegunde stated that Ajibola Gbenga and Olaofe Abiodun, both of All Souls Grammar School, Ado Ekiti and Mr Olaitan Adeyanju of Osi Community High School, Osi Ekiti, were dismissed for sexual molestation and bringing the state into disrepute.
He disclosed that the randy teachers were first queried and interrogated at the school level before repeating the process at the commission. Adegunde added that the Commission’s Disciplinary Committee recommended the sack of the teachers after conducting a thorough investigation.
